Wellness coaching

Many of us feel that we need to eat better and move more, but in today’s world, that’s not as easy as it sounds. There is more to being ‘healthy’ than just what we eat and whether we work out regularly. Being healthy can mean different things to different people.

Wellness coaching encourages healthy lifestyle behaviours that may help you:

  • Reduce stress and help you cope better with life stressors;
  • Allow exercise to become a habit rather than a hobby;
  • Prevent lifestyle-related illnesses such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, elevated cholesterol and hypertension; and
  • Live a happier, healthier, more productive and fulfilling life

Revatilise programme

I offer a 12-week Revitalise Programme, encompassing inspiration, support, education, accountability, and fun. This programme is designed to teach you the smart way to achieve your fitness and wellness aspirations.

A three pillar approach is taken:

1. Address the stress

To ensure your journey toward health and wellness is efficient, it’s important to address any stressors you may have in your life. By understanding where your stress comes from and how you are dealing with it, it allows us to minimise or eliminate the impact on you and achieving your goals.

Key stressors can include:

  • Physical: Excessive or lack of exercise.
  • Chemical: Drugs (prescription and non prescription), caffeine, alcohol, nicotine.
  • Mental/emotional: Financial, marital, work, family, fear.
  • Nutritional: Diets high in processed foods, sugar, poor eating habits.
  • Electromagnetic: Artificial light, microwaves, screen time.

2. Holistic diagnostic testing

I utilise holistic diagnostic testing such as, functional blood chemistry analysis, stress hormonal profiles (adrenal fatigue), and food sensitivities, to personalise your health program to a whole new level.

Stress hormonal profile testing

An adrenal dysfunction test and comprehensive questionnaire illustrate if your body is battling stress, where your stress comes from and how these stressors can affect you. Having hormonal balance between your stress hormone cortisol and your growth and repair hormone DHEA is paramount for optimal health. If there is dysfunction between these two hormones, this ignites a cascade of physiological responses that can have far reaching consequences on our well being. The following article describes adrenal dysfunction in depth.

Food sensitivity testing

Food sensitivity testing identifies what foods you are sensitive to. Eliminating these foods is an easy method of reducing hidden stress on our system. This alone can produce profound results to weight loss, gut pain, skin problems, IBS and constipation to name a few. The following article describes in more detail about food sensitivities.

Functional blood chemistry analysis

Blood chemistry analysis provides a comprehensive insight as to how your body is physiologically functioning overall. When you ask your doctor to take your bloods, it’s generally because you are feeling “not quite right”. Then when you are told “your bloods are fine”, this can leave you wandering what to do next. Wonder no more. A detailed report will provide invaluable recommendations to lifestyle modifications that you can implement.

2. Movement/Exercise

I use intelligent movement to train the body three dimensionally, as it is designed to move, with functional movements that challenge the whole body ensuring a time efficient and calorie consuming workout. To ensure you remain focused, accountable and motivated throughout your sessions, a weekly check-in coaching tool is used.

Whether your goal is to lose body fat, increase muscle tone, train for an event, feel better about yourself or reduce the impact stress has on your body, this is the programme for you.
